First of all, what exactly is simple living? Well, it’s about having less and enjoying what you do have. Living simply can bring peace and happiness to your day-to-day existence.
Being empty nesters has led us to simplify our lives and downsize what we own. There are many benefits of simplifying your life such as bringing peace, joy, calmness, less stress, and less overwhelm. Living simply can really make a difference in how you feel on a daily basis.

Simple Living can bring calmness and joy to your life. As a result, it will help reduce stress, decrease overwhelm and overall negativity in your everyday life. It can also provide more time for yourself.
The added bonus is that you spend less money and have fewer things to maintain and clean.
How to get started simplifying your life today?
First of all, think about what changes could be made to your day-to-day routine. What needs to be removed or added to your current daily schedule that will ultimately provide you with less stress and overwhelm?
I also recommend that you start going through your things and purging all of your excess “stuff”. Start small and do this a little bit at a time. You can donate or sell items that are no longer useful to you. Worn-out items may need to be thrown out or recycled.
Make sure that the items you keep are things that you love and bring you happiness, besides the necessities of course. By simplifying what you own, you’ll have less to worry about and enjoy what is left. Less stress equals more happiness!
Simple living is all about simplifying your choices so that the ones that are left are the ones that really matter to you. Start by changing your mindset toward having fewer “things” and focusing on what matters to “you” – not what other people think.
Spend less money, declutter what you have and let go of what doesn’t matter to you anymore. Learn to be satisfied with what you already have.
Make life easier on yourself and be happier by living simply. Live a life that brings you joy instead of worry, stress, or negativity!
If you’ve been feeling like it’s time to simplify your life, now is a perfect time! You don’t have to be an extreme minimalist in order to live simply. All that matters is that you feel fulfilled and happy with what you’re doing every day.
Take action today by removing clutter from your home and simplifying your possessions so you can enjoy more open space around you. Next, correct or eliminate systems to ensure that you continue to make progress towards the goals in your personal manifesto.
Now that you know some tips on how to start living a simple life, I hope you get started today! It really can be a great way to bring peace, calmness, less stress, and joy into your daily living.
